È uno dei giorni più attesi dell’anno per gli appassionati di serie tv. L’Academy of Television Arts & Sciences ha infatti annunciato le nomination degli Emmy 2020, i più prestigiosi premi televisivi a livello internazionale, giunti alla loro 72esima edizione. La cerimonia è stata presentata da Leslie Jones, volto del Saturday Night Live, e vi hanno preso parte diverse star. La premiazione, invece, è fissata al prossimo 20 settembre.
A guidare la lista delle nomination degli Emmy 2020 è Netflix, che colleziona ben 160 candidature. HBO, dopo la chiusura di Game of Thrones, si ferma invece a 107. La casa di produzione, però, ha dalla sua il prodotto televisivo che è riuscito a incassare più nomination. Stiamo parlando di Watchmen, la serie fantasy che prende le mosse dall’omonimo fumetto di Alan Moore. Grande successo anche per The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, distribuita in Italia da Prime Video, serie più nominata tra quelle appartenenti al genere comedy. Candidati anche due prodotti Apple Tv e Disney+: si tratta rispettivamente di The Morning Show e The Mandalorian, che ha conquistato ben 15 nomination.
